If you’re a golf fan, you already know all about this annual tournament making Des Moines its home this. If you’re not a golf fan, build more time into your drives to Gray’s Lake, Water Works Park, or the airport until next week. You can still buy tickets here.
Plant Life Pizza Picnic at Plant Life Designs

Join Plant Life Designs for an evening as they as welcome the summer season with wood-fired pizzas! Chef Jacob of Crafted Food Services will be preparing and cooking seasonal wood-fired pizzas in the garden. Bay Laurel Baking Co. is providing dessert and Bread by Chelsa B is providing the foccacia! SO GOOD. Ticket includes 1 10″ Wood Fired Pizza, Snacks, Veggies, Dessert, and 2 Drinks. Additional drinks will be available for purchase at the cantina! They are offering 10 reservations at 4 different time slots, for a total of 40 reservations. The time slots are 5:00, 5:30, 6:00, and 6:30. Let them know when you would like to come.

Tai Chi at Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden

Practice this ancient form of exercise in the beauty and tranquility of the Garden. Tai Chi uses gentle, flowing movements to increase strength, flexibility, range of motion, and balance while fighting stress and promoting serenity. All wellness programs will take place outdoors as weather permits. Face coverings are required for all attendees, and physical distancing will be enforced. Members $5, nonmembers $10.
Downtown Farmers’ Market

The Market has officially increased its capacity to host 165 on-site vendors, around 75% of the number at a traditional Saturday Market. We’ll take it! The Downtown Farmers’ Market returns for its 2021 season with a modified, but in-person market. The scaled-back Market will focus on providing only fresh produce and farm and artisan packaged food from local vendors in a safe, socially-distanced way.
EGGDAY with EggKing at 1908 Draught House

Two women on a mission to bring health food to the River Bend neighborhood? Monika and Crystal are doing the damn thing. They need our help and we hope you’re with us. This market will run every Saturday, starting May 1 through September 25 from 2-4 p.m. There will be vendors, food trucks, a health tent, kid-friendly activities, and entertainment. Hosted by Rumors DSM, Des Moines’ biggest vintage clothing market is taking place Saturday June 5th 10am-6pm. There will be 27 total booths to shop, with eras of clothing ranging from 1890s-1990s. The event is outdoors next to the shop at 4211 Chamberlain Dr in Des Moines, right off the interstate! Vintage accessories, homewares, handmade clothing, and jewelry can also be found here.
