Beetlejuice Night at Five Monkeys Inc.

It is another great weekend for the Downtown Des Moines Farmers’ Market! The Market is an open-air street market located in the Historic Court District in Downtown Des Moines (DSM). Vendors will be set up outdoors on Court Avenue and adjacent side streets. It’s one of the best in the country! Don’t miss it this season and see some of our absolute favorite small business owners from around the metro.


Yoga at The Market

If you were already planning on going to The Market, make it an early morning with a FREE yoga class! Class is open to anyone and everyone, and pre-registration in the PowerLife Yoga app is encouraged (but not required). The weather looks beautiful, so prepare for an outdoor class!

Rainbow Scavenger Hunt at Greenwood-Ashworth Park

The weather looks absolutely GORGEOUS this weekend, so get outside and soak up the last bit of summer weather at the Rainbow Scavenger Hunt behind the Des Moines Art Center. All ages are welcome, and there will be two colorful butterfly hunts (one for children, one for adults). Plus, all butterflies are actually wildflower seed pods!


Multicultural Fall Festival at Evelyn K. Davis Park

The Multicultural Fall Festival is back for another year! Head to Evelyn K. Davis Park for a celebration of all the different cultures in Des Moines, a showcase of community resources, and food and entertainment galore! Pedal For Peace Mental Health Awareness Ride

All bikers are welcome to attend this FREE bike ride for mental health awareness. “The Pedal For Peace will start at West End Salvage, then go to Confluence Brewing, then The Biergarten at Waterworks Park, and on to Captain Roy’s.”


Crushable for a Cause at Paws & Pints

It is the 3rd annual Crushable for a Cause event at Paws & Pints! Support the Porter-Rinksy Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to rescuing dogs and cats from life-threatening situations at a fun-filled event.
