Des Moines Art Festival

One of Des Moines’ signature events is here hosting 190 of the nation’s top artists. This weekend, head downtown for the Des Moines Arts Festival. Admission to the festival is free, and everyone can enjoy the art, music, activities, and community. Stand Up Yoga (SUP) classes are offered on Friday evenings (sunset paddle!), Saturday morning and afternoon, and Sunday morning and afternoon. Iowa Cubs Pride Night at Principal Park

It’s Pride Night at Principal Park! Kick off the weekend with an evening of baseball, but be sure to get there early because the first 500 attendees at the pre-game tailgate will receive FREE rainbow Iowa Cubs hats. Everyone can enjoy complimentary soda before heading into the stadium to play ball! Tickets are $18, and $7 of each ticket sold will support Capital City Pride.
Unofficial Art Fest After Party at Moglea

Of course the Des Moines Arts Festival is on your calendar! If you want the fun to continue, make sure to add a trip to the unofficial after party just two blocks from the festival. It is another great weekend for the Downtown Des Moines Farmers’ Market! The Market is an open-air street market located in the Historic Court District in Downtown Des Moines (DSM). Vendors will be set up outdoors on Court Avenue and adjacent side streets. It’s one of the best in the country! Don’t miss it this summer to see some of our absolute favorite small business owners from around the metro.
2024 Garden Tour at the Urbandale Demonstration Garden

Wanting to learn more about gardens from some local masters? Look no further because the Polk County Master Gardeners are hosting their annual garden tour in Urbandale! Tickets are $10 for a tour and include garden resources, family-friendly activities, and gorgeous landscaped spaces. Tours are rain or shine, so plan accordingly!
Super Secret Brunch Club at Secret Admirer

Summer Bags Tournament at Ricochet
