Mike Brody at Teehee’s Comedy Club

  • Saturday, January 15, 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
  • Teehee’s Comedy Club, 1433 Walnut Street, Des Moines, IA, 50309

Our favorite independent comedy club to visit any time of year. Here’s more about this Friday night’s show. “Starting comedy on a whim at an open mic in the year 2000, Mike Brody has since devoted his life to perfecting the delivery of his high-energy act. Bucking the trend of the apathetic comedian, his genuine passion for his craft draws audience members into the unique world of Mike Brody: An affable, clever guy whose life is often derailed by his own neurotic, obsessive-compulsive and clumsy tendencies.”

  • Friday, January 21, and Saturday, January 22, 6-9 p.m.
  • West End Architectural Savage, 22 9th Street (Corner of 9th and Cherry, under the bridge), Des Moines, IA 50309

Indulge yourself in this opportunity to enjoy fabulous wines from around the world and pair each with artisan cheeses and chocolates. Browse the galleries of West End Architectural Salvage as you enjoy live music. Ticket price includes a mix of wines, artisan cheeses and chocolates, Templeton Rye craft cocktails and a commemorative wine glass. If you’re going to leave your house this weekend, this would be a very solid option.
