Des Moines Girl (DSMG) and RipRoar events are proud to announce they’re teaming up to host The Des Moines Girl 5K, the ultimate women’s meet-up event this spring. The event will take place May 6 at Jasper Winery with the run kicking off at 5:30 PM.
The Des Moines Girl 5K is designed to provide a perfect outing for women in our communities to connect and engage in various activities. For the cost of registration – $45 – attendees can participate in all of the Saturday events for a full day of community and connection. All Des Moines-based businesses, led by women, and all activities are included as part of the Des Moines Women’s Race weekend.
Attendees can participate in:
- A pre-race “Braid Bar” with Salon Spa W
- Enjoy yoga and meditation on the lawn with Yoga + Co and Heartland Sound Healing, or an outdoor spin class with Love Cycle Studios.
- After the Saturday evening run, all racers can enjoy the post-race party with food trucks, wine, and live music.
- With the price of registration, racers will also get a lot of free SWAG including a DSMWHM backpack and glass of wine.
Not a runner? No problem! The race is open to all experience levels so that everyone can join the fun.

Looking for even more? Consider Sunday morning’s Des Moines Women’s Half Marathon, 10K, and Team Relay run, starting at 8 am. All Sunday participants can enjoy the pre and post-race activities on Saturday as well.
